Summary:

PIBBS-Foot-Bath-Massager-FM3830AAfter a long hard day there is nothing quite as relaxing as a placing your feet into a gorgeous foot bath with massage functionality. It just feels absolutely fantastic. Of course, if you want to experience the pleasures then you are going to need to pick up a fairly decent foot massager. Thankfully, the PIBBS Foot Bath Massager FM3830A has got your back.

This foot massager is actually quite powerful. On the unit you have three different settings.

  • No Heat and Massage

  • Heat and Bubbles

  • Heat, Bubbles and a Massage

Now, I have encountered plenty of people who figured that they do not need the bubble functionality. It can be annoying. They just want to put their feet into a nice bowl of water which has been topped up with a few bath salts. Thankfully, the unit heats up pretty quickly. You can then take it off the heat when it reaches the desired temperature and you have hot water to sink your feet into! When it starts to get cold you turn it up a tiny amount and start to put a bit more heat into it.

The massage functionality is a result of some rotating heads. For most people they do an absolutely stellar job. If the feet pads inside are too coarse for your feet though, you get some rubber pads in the box which you can use to soften it up a bit.

One of the main problems people have with the PIBBS Foot Bath Massager FM3830A is that the instructions are not clear enough. I have lost count of the amount of reviews that I have read where people have overfilled their massager only to ‘flood’ their rooms. My suggestion to counter this is to start with a small amount of water and gradually fill up. It seems that each foot massage machine has its own ‘sweet spot’ and you need to find it. You do need to realize that the amount of water that the massager can handle will need to change depending on the intensity of the massage; the more intense, the more water that needs to go in there.

One word of warning here; inside of the box you are going to find a rubber cord. The manual will not tell you what it does. It is a guessing game. However, many people have worked it out. It is an incredibly useful accessory used to tie up the power cord to stop it flailing about so much. Do not throw it away.

Another issue was that it is quite difficult to control. There is no remote to control the settings. Every time you wish to kick something up a notch you do need to bend down and hit a switch. This is NOT ideal for those who are suffering from back problems. Sadly there is no real way in which to counter this.

So, is this product worth a purchase? Well, based on what I have seen, yes it is. It heats up water incredibly quickly and gives a wonderful massage. There are very few products at this price point which actually do that. It is quite difficult to control too. Not impossible, but you will be bending over time and time again to get the perfect massage which is highly annoying but something you are going to have to deal with. That being said, I do think that it is much better than most of the other foot massage machines you can get at this price, and far better than the cheaper ones. It is a ‘must purchase’ in my book.
